Our very own e-commerce brand. Specialising in the hugely competitive wallpaper and wall coverings industry. We took this challenge on in January 2020 and have worked hard to ensure the business continues to grow year after year.

Our Own Brand

We’ve wanted to have our own eCommerce business for a while now. We enjoy digital marketing immensely and know we have the skillset to grow our own brand. So that’s what we decided to do.

We launched Wallpaper Online last year (2020) after acquiring a rather tired and dated website, alongside stock, and some basic training in how to sell wallpaper! 

We quickly went to work improving the website which when we inherited it, was on Magento 1, a legacy version that was going to cause us some issues, unless we moved it. 

Thankfully, after a few months of hard work, we’re now away from Magento and loving the opensource eCommerce platform Sylius

As part of the platform migration, we completed audited our products and content – making sure that when Google came knocking, we were ready.

We added more category pages, more brands, and more rich content across the site. As well as a far more robust template, with far quicker site speed and better mobile UX.

What About The Numbers?

All of that hard work early in the year is definitely paying off. We’re running profitable paid campaigns, and growing our monthly advertising spend each month.

Our revenue has increased hugely as a result. A 1900% increase to be precise.

Not all of the growth has come via paid channels. We’ve been working hard to improve our organic visibility, and although early days we’re very happy with the results. 

We’re really competing in a hugely competitive market.

Since originally writing this post, we’ve continued to see massive success – boosting both our organic visibility and paid successes to new heights. Continued implementation of our content strategy and technical auditing has helped to improve rankings for some of the biggest keywords and trends in the market.
